Pay it Forward VIII~ July 19th

It's already Tuesday evening and I realized that I forgot to write up this post. Pay it Forward is one of my favorite memes to do, so I’m trying to write quickly before getting some much needed sleep.  (VBS can take a lot out of a gal!)

This week I wanted to share about a fellow homeschool blogger who just 'got off the boat' after 3 years on the TOS Homeschool Crew.

Sheri actually has multiple blogs, so I’m going to share about each one with a link to it and maybe make mention of a favorite post.

Hsing blog headerHomeschooling on a Wing and a Prayer is her ‘flagship’ blog.  It can be eclectic with posts and she has a page sharing their adoption journey.  One of my favorite posts was from a meme/blog hop last summer when we all wrote about our homeschool classroom.

Both in the header and sidebar, you can see that Shari decided to have separate blogs for specific topics.

correct 2011 header1 of 100 TOS Crew Reviews is where she shared all of the reviews from her 3 years on the TOS Homeschool Crew.  I love how her sense of humor bleeds through the posts and often leads to a smile on my face.  Beyond the wittiness found in each post, she is also thorough.

Charlotte mason header flowerA Charlotte Mason Homeschool Sampler is a great resource for someone either using Charlotte Mason philosophy or just curious about it.  As one might expect, you’ll find information about studying artists, reading living books and getting out to learn from nature.

boxWhat’s in the Box? is where you’ll find awesome ideas for using workboxes in your homeschool.  I keep saying I need to get back to it…and I NEED to get back to it.  A short visit to Sheri’s blog on workboxing just might help give me the little shove I need.  I am quite partial to her geography ideas!

lapbooks new headerScrapbooks and Lapbooks is just that..a blog for those who want to scrapbook or lapbook their schooling.  I adore lapbooking and need to plan out lapbooks for the upcoming school year for the boys. On of my favorite posts is actually a page about Five in a Row, a great learning tool/curriculum for the younger grades.  (We reviewed Five in a Row Vol. 3 as a TOS Crewmate and enjoyed it!)

I hope a few of my readers will take a moment to pop over to visit Sheri.  With so many diverse blogs, there might be something just perfect for you.  And, if you do decide to comment after visiting, will you consider saying I sent you?

You can see who else is Paying it Forward by visiting this week’s meme post on Holly’s blog, A Life-Sized Catholic blog.

  1. I’m so glad you are a committed “Pay It Forward” gal, and I can totally relate to your vacation bible camp (VBC) exhaustion. In fact, I’m so impressed that you were even able to get your post written and published in the midst of VBC. Kudos to you!

Thanks for participating and for the great resources.

    Many blessings...
