Romantic Places for Valentine's Day Where You Live
is the theme for the week…
Well, I have to admit that Mr. O and I have not really gone on the hunt for romantic places in the greater Anchorage area. However, I don’t know that a building is where you’d find it.
Instead, there is so much natural beauty surrounding us. I would say that just about anyplace with a great view would qualify as a romantic place.
Our parish is hosting a Valentine’s Day party this coming Friday that I was hoping to attend before Mr. O headed out to the cold interior of Alaska for the week with a return of Friday evening. (If he comes home a day early, then we might go.) While some might think that a little strange, I think the idea of a night with no kids that begins with all couples renewing their vows is romantic. If it started earlier in the evening, there would even be the potential for gorgeous views from the church as it sits atop a hill so you can look down at the town and see the surrounding mountains without obstruction.
Enjoy a few pictures from our area….

We spent our honeymoon at Hatchers Pass... those little a-frame cabins are so sweet and a perfect getaway... fyi... no indoor plumbing! That's one my dear hubby will NEVER live down! lol :)
